Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) – 2 Day course

A practical skills and awareness course designed to give employees:

  • A deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect people’s wellbeing, including their own.
  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues.
  • Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress.
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening.
  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support.

 

Learning takes place through a mix of group activities, presentations and discussions.

 

Upon completion of the course, employees will be qualified Mental Health First Aiders, certified and accredited by MHFA England (the only licensed company in England).

Terms and Conditions for Services provided by Be Empowered Ltd

Introduction:
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The term ‘customer’ refers to the company booking the service. Be Empowered Ltd is registered in England and Wales No. 11573464. Registered address: 12, Elm Grove Allestree, Derby, Derbyshire DE22 2HB, United Kingdom
1. Payment:
1.1 Payment Policy: Payment will be as agreed in section ‘Your Booking Details – Price Agreed’ Full payment is due before courses start.
1.2 Payment Method: Be Empowered Ltd accept payment via Bank transfer and online payments only, details of which will be on the invoice supplied.
1.3. Overdue Payments: If any balance becomes overdue by thirty (30) days, it is agreed that Be Empowered Ltd will impose a LATE PAYMENT CHARGE at the rate of 8% + the base rate per month. If any invoice is not settled within 90 days of the date shown on the invoice, recovery procedures may be implemented for which the customer will be responsible for Legal fees, court costs, and any other related costs of collection.
2 Undertakings:
2.1. Be Empowered Ltd undertakes to:
(1) Provide services of the type and to the level specified in the section ’Your Booking details’
(2) Where for any reason Be Empowered Ltd is unable to fulfil its service obligations to the customer, they agree to make provision for the substitution of an appropriate alternative trainer.
(3) Keep all information about the delegates attending the course and any sensitive information that arises confidential, unless there are any safeguarding.
(4) Provide an accredited Mental Health First Aid Trainer who has full

2.2. The customer undertakes to:
(1) Give notice of non-attendance and cancellations, and adhere to our cancelation policy
(2) Make payments in accordance with the invoice terms
(3) To provide a clean, safe and enclosed confidential area for us to deliver our training. We require a room that is private and is not entered upon by other people not involved in the training
3. Termination and cancellations:
3.1 To secure your booking Be Empowered Ltd require a non-refundable £500 deposit if your booking is made 30+ days before the course date. Bookings made within 30 days then the full amount is due to secure booking.
3.2 Should a customer need to change their course dates we require 30 days notice
3.3 Should a customer cancel a course within 30 days before the course start date, full payment is non-refundable subject to our discretion.
3.4 Should there be any non-attendees for the course, the full payment is still required.
3.5 Should Be Empowered Ltd, for any reason, need to cancel then an alternative date will be arranged. If this is not possible then there will be a full refund to the customer
4. Complaints Procedure
4.1. Please talk to us about your complaint and we will do our very best to resolve them informally. If you are still unsatisfied you can make a formal complaint in writing to Ceri Morris who will then arrange a meeting with the customer to discuss the matter formally. After this meeting, Be Empowered Ltd will present their decision in writing.
5. Data Retention
Be Empowered Ltd follows the rules of data protection in line with GDPR. Data collected about you will only be used for the purposes it is intended for – these purposes will be made obvious to you by the person who is collecting your data. Data must be kept accurate; for this reason, we ask you to please inform us of any changes to your contact details e.g. address, phone numbers. Your data will be kept safe and secure, and will be retained for no longer than is necessary.
